This is a really cool weather app that displays great information but unfortunately it is not voice over compatible. Hopefully this developer will make sure things are VoiceOver compatible in the next release.
Ive been using their Mac app for some time and really liked it. I was glad to see that the developers had ported the Mac app over to iOS. It works really well and is always accurate for me, relying on Forecast.io data. The only thing its missing from the Mac version are severe weather notifications. Thats the only reason I still have my previous weather app installed. Once it gets those, it would be perfect for my needs.
Im always looking for a weather app... Im obsessed lol weather underground has all of the features but its accuracy can be sketchy... This so far has been spot on
While I like the app and its interface, the widget doesnt work. Just says "loading weather". Also the radar takes longer than necessary to load. In addition is like to see the notifications be brought into the application instead of being sent to browser to view webpage.
Day 3 of Forecast Bar & Ive already bought the Mac version. Its clean, accurate & at home in iOS. The widget had some issues but the customer service staff responded immediately & fixed the issue. Customizable & elegant to look at this app should do very well.
Widget needs to be improved.
I am enjoying this weather app. Everything you need is there in a simple well organised layout. I also love that the forcast.io radar maps are included. One thing I hope they update is the hourly graph. On the bottom of the graph is a colored line that lets you know what type of perception should occur (Snow, rain, etc.). I wish the actual graph was the color that the line below it is, instead of just blue. It would also be nice to add data points on the graph to make it easier to tell what the hourly temp is and the percip percentages are. Two issues Ive noticed is that the widget is sometimes out of sync with the app and the graph doesnt match that of forecast.io. Sometimes the widget will show rain and the app wont and vice versa. Also when I compare this side by side with dark sky theyll both show the rain graph but the graphs will look dramatically different. One will show light rain for instance and the other will show med to heavy. Weird. Either way I think this will now be my primary weather app going forward.
2/12/16 - The program "AdBlock" which only blocks Adservers blocks the map/radar. Support staff, which was very supportive, was kind enough to explain the reason for this. Based on extensive use of the program and the support I received, I highly recommend this weather program which is definitely among the best Ive used. 2/11/16 - No change regarding radar. (update) Do not purchase if you want radar/maps. It still does not work - after numerous days. Full featured, nice interface, seems to be accurate but radar simply refuses to "load". Will change to 4 or 5 stars if/when this issue is fixed. (Using iPad Air 2)
As others have stated this app is beautiful, functional and accurate. However, Im having the same problem as everyone else with the widget not loading. Even after the latest update that is supposed to improve widget reliability it still keeps giving me an error saying that I need to enable location access (which I have).
This is a 5-star app, but my patience wears thin when multiple users report the same issue and it remains unaddressed. The today widget doesnt work, and for a weather app, thats a non-starter. Is it really so difficult to fix? Once they make it work, this will be my go-to weather app.
iPhone 6s, iOS 9.2.1 This widget does seem to be faster with this latest update. Im also a fan of the radar as well. I can actually move around to see what may be on the way, or just look around at other storms for fun. I havent tried the watch app yet though. Ill update this review if I install the watch app. Overall I really like this app. It strikes a nice balance between looking nice and providing relevant information.
I was really happy with this app. Still think its great. Really excited to see the improvements for the watch, until I see I need to pay$3.99 a year for the complications to work properly. Dark Sky doesnt charge an annual fee. Get real. Minus two stars.
Great app that provides the info you need in a clear presentation, with easy drill down to details. Version 1.2 brings big improvements to alerts and to the radar maps. The myriad of well-considered Apple Watch Complications are a nice bonus.
This is an awesome weather app, guys. It really feels like it should be like a stock weather app on iOS. I especially like how you get a consistent experience across devices, even on OS X and the Apple Watch. Thats nice and something I havent found with other weather apps. Plus the devs are really responsive to users (something I really appreciate) and constantly - I mean constantly - adding new features. Every time I turn around something new is added. Keep up the good work devs!!
This is a good start. If you can add push precipitation and severe weather alerts like the Dark Sky app has, this app would be near perfect. Also, could definitely use location on the radar. Stuck with keeping TWC app on my phone along with this, hoping for updates.
App will not even start without location services being active. Why cant I just type in the city name from where I want weather info. Or type in lat / long coordinates if I wanted to be more specific. Nope, location services on or youre busted. Also, having iCloud sync on by default...another BAD idea. The choice should be to OPT-IN to for iCloud sync, not OPT-OUT. Two problems which might be considered minor, but in an area glutted by weather apps, enough of an irritant to warrant deleting the app.
Visually stunning and also the most functional app on the market. Provides daily push notifications for any time I want to properly prepare for the day. Time machine is an awesome extra feature. Extremely accurate precipitation information so Im never caught off guard or stuck in the rain. Would recommend this app to everyone I know.
Really like this weather app. No problems to date. One of my top 5.
Great app near perfect has everything you need to know
